Samuel Bakkabulindi “Bakka”President and Founder
Bakka is the Founder and President of Bakka2thesource. He is the leader of our pride and a passionate visionary. Bakka is a Ugandan Master Percussionist who has delighted audiences in over 40 countries with his engaging and exhilarating performances for many years.
For longer than Bakka can remember he has dreamt of sharing space with other musicians who contribute a similar level of passion and skill for the traditional instruments, dances, and instrument making of the world beginning in Uganda.
Nassozi Beth ZwecherVice President and Co Founder
Beth is a licensed clinical social worker who has used expressive arts therapies, with an emphasis on world percussion instruments for many years in her work both in the US and Canada (including Northern Ontario, and British Columbia), to help communities express and resolve trauma, grief and suffering in the midst of joyful creativity.
For 55 years she carried the vivid dream of one day going to Africa. Mark Twain said, ‘The two most important days in your life, are the day you are born and the day you find out why”. In May of 2015 when Nassozi’s feet touched the earth of Uganda the second day occurred.
Charles NapierDirector and Treasurer
Charles is the former director of Loss Prevention for Food Master Supermarkets, where he worked for 45 Years. Charlie served as past chairperson of the Massachusetts Food Association and the past chair for the Massachusetts Food Marketing Loss Prevention Committee. Charlie is a former united fund award recipient for volunteering. Charlie is a father of three and grandfather of 10.
Erin has served as a fundraiser for Higher Education for nearly 25 years, and is currently the Director of The Fund for Babson at Babson College. Her passion for fundraising is focused around enhancing the student experience and providing much needed financial aid and scholarship support to those who most benefit from it. She and her husband have two children, Hailey and Tyler. Their family shares a passion for music. Erin played three instruments and sang, and both children play an instrument and sing.
Gumba MinususeraProject Manager - Uganda
Minususera Our Project Manager on the ground in Uganda, managing and personally attending to all aspects of each project from paying school fees, to visiting children, organizing building crews, and buying bags of cement for our first building in Kibisi. No job or detail is too small to escape the attention of this humble man with a strong and steady heart.
